Re: Trim tilt guage, temp guage
Mine do pretty much the same. I don't recall the manufacturer of mine off hand but have been told in the past that many of the factory installed gauges don't work well (not accurate). I got tired of seeing my engine temperature at 200 degrees all the time and having the boat checked, new impeller, new water pump, sending unit, etc, etc. I bought a thermoscan tool and the engine is a nice 154 degrees with a 160 degree thermostat (new) installed. While I understand that the thermoscan tool is taking a reading from the outside and there may be some differences as it passes through air, I doubt it would be over 50 degrees off. I checked it on my car engine also and it was spot-on. I am looking for better gauges now to replace the factory installed ones.
