OK. I know I did simething I shouldn't have and now I must fix it. I removed the pressed in high speed brass pick-up tube from the carb body on a 1980, Type IV carb. I pressed it back in but I can't seem to get the motor to idle and/or throttle-up correctly. I am thinking that the high speed pick-up tube is not pressed in far enough or is not oriented correctly. Can anyone tell me (or send me pictures) showing the high speed pick-up tube in relation to the inner, low speed brass pick-up tube? Also how are the holes in the high speed pick-up tube oriented relative to the body of the carb? Thanks.

Side note: The original schematics/instructions do not mention the retainer clip that connects the float to the needle value. I understand that the new kits have softer tips which can stick closed and the clip is now required. Can anyone comment on that? That may also be my problem. Thanks again.
