Mercruise 350 MAG MPI questions..

Hi Guys,


I'm new to this forum. Was following several forums here in the Netherlands but they are all very very small and not much info to find. Been reading along here for some weeks.

I have a Maxum 2100sc with a mercruiser 350 mag MPI.

I realised that the sticker with the serial number that you normally find on the airintake cover is missing... Where do I find the serial number on the engine before I start taking things apart?


Second question: A friend of mine has a mercruiser 6.2 in his Mariah sx22. He has an excelent engine sound while boating. No open exhaust... but the sound is amazing. Not to loud, just perfect.
Mine does not sound at all. very very quiet! I have a Alpha one stern drive... I do not wish to install an open exhaust system, but is there anything possible to get a litle more engine sound? It is a V8 and a V8 is aloud to make a litle noise as I consider it music to my ears!

Should be on the block, in the area aft and above the starter.
