So I took the boat with a 1985 Force 125hp outboard out on the lake. First of all it didn't go fast enough to plane. And then after 10 mins of operating, It lost half the speed. It has also been dying at idle speed. I need to keep on the throttle to keep it going.

I performed a compression test with the following results:
Cylinder
#1 - 70 psi
#2 - 60 psi
#3 - 60 psi
#4 - 0 psi
the specs are 145-165psi

The spark plug for no 2 is also noticable different after running...barely wet with fuel
the other 3 are dark and have fuel mixture covering them.

Any ideas where I should start?
Thanks!

Start by taking off the head and seeing the extent of the damage on the bottom cylinder. Then check the other three. Take it to a machine shop if possible and have them "mike" the bores to see what overbore it needs.

Dawg, hijacking someone else's thread with your own question is very bad forum manners. Go start your own thread.

Sorry, it was exactly the same question as what he was asking. I thought it was the right way to do, instead of creating multiple threads asking the same question.

MY BAD<SO SORRY>
