Where can I find carb rebuild part number?

Hey guys,

Where can I find the part number for the carb rebuild kit for my engine?

The serial number on my Mercruiser 4.3 block is 022226

Any assistance would be great.

Sorry, but that's not a Mercruiser serial number.
There should be a metal tag just above the stater with the number on it.

I see the problem, the tag is bent over and I really can't see for sure, but it looks like there is an L there, can you verify?

hmm.. I Just checked.. It is easyer to see the tag in the photo then it is on the block. I can hardly read the 022226.

It looks like an L or an I

Then it an "L".
Engine serial number 0L022226 is a 1998 MERCRUISER 1 PC W/PS 4.3L ALPHA.

You will need to know if it's a 2 or 4 barrel carb.
