F115 flashing check engine-fluctating voltage

Went on. Tightened negative post and cleared first time out. Second time out it flashed, I did the same thing, but it didn't go away until after a few minutes and went on again w/ low voltage. Voltage fluctuated from 11.8 to around 13.4.
Pls. advise.
