Default ? Which One and How - Trolling Motor On 'Toon

My son haz a 20' Misty Harbor pontoon boat and wants to install a trolling motor. What size? Where to mount? Out-of-the-way mounting bracket?Any and all advice ya'll can give, Hooty would appreciate.Thanks in advance & c/6Hooty

Out-of-the-way mounting bracket?Any and all advice ya'll can give, Hooty would appreciate.A friend of mine has a 21' Sun Tracker. He added a 9.9 kicker on the port side pontoon. They make a bracket that slides into deck supports. He also bought a kit that connects the kicker to the main engine for steering. The whole setup works very well, but now he has to throttle controls on the helm. There are many +'s Backup system, some waters not aloud more than 9.9, trollling etc.

HootyBest bet is the Motor Guide 54lb., 12Volt, made for pontoon boats. The bracket is simple, bolts to the deck, does not fold up but just pull it straight up. Hand control- have mounted them in the interior of the boat through the floor or on the bow. Has a door on the bracket so it can be removed quick, About $275+-.Backfire
