A few times now I'll be cruising at 4000 rpms The warning light Rev limited comes on and I lose rpms, down to 2800 or so. Shut the engines off and start it again they run great. Put a new CDI unit last season. Did have a problem with fuel the beginning of the season. Anyone have an idea what's up? Thanks Mike

It either thinks it's running low on oil or running hot. The indicator shows which one.

oils good, replaced impellers, thermostats, and temp sensor on head. As soon as you shut it down and start it back up its like nothing ever happened . I figured if it was overheating the alarm would go right back on.

its showing temp along with rev limited. I dont believe its physically over heating. New impeller , thermostats, temp sensor on the head. I ran 15 miles out took a couple drifts then it acted up a half hour after running out to fish. shut it down , started back up immediately , ran great 15 miles back. Is there an oil sensor?

Yeah, it's got both an oil level sensor and an oil flow sensor. I seem to remember reading something about a styrofoam float that would malfunction, but can't remember if that was for water flow or not. I'd also try posting on marineengine.com's suzuki forums. There's no real suzuki guru on here right now, marineengine.com has a couple of them.
