help in sorting out wiring on my 1972 50 hp johnson esl model

hi there guys,
as the title says i'm in need of getting someone to fully describe the wiring for the terminal block as they were put in wrong before i bought the motor. the wiring in the power pack are correct.
i'm new to boating and have'nt had enough experience with motors to just tinker.
as i want to make sure all the wiring is right befor turning her over.
any advice would be greatly aprecciated.

Someone may be able to describe but the best place to look is the factory manual. That's no good if you haven't got one so if you send me a message to remind me I'll email you a diagram or similar. I have a 72 50hp and it's not hard to wire it with the diagram,

thanks for that, but i have found out last week that the guy i bought it from had put a later model powerhead on the 72 hydro electric shift, so i will get back to you on out come of what we find out and we'll go from there.
