I have a 1985 force 85 hp force out board motor, the starter will rotate a few seconds and then stop but will not engage flywheel, Is the starter bad ? or is the problem elsewhere? Battery is fully charged. Thank You
Check all the connections and then take the starter apart and rebuild.Try some light grease or oil on the worm gear under the bendix.
One of those should gix it.J
