Does anyone know if a sticking tach will cause the continuous beep to sound off? After idling out of a long channel to get to the lake, I throttled up to get on plane and seconds after I reached about 3000 rpm the beep came on. I immediatly throttled back and the beep turned off. I tried throttling up again and noticed that the tach was bouncing all over. Has anyone run into this problem. I should add that by the end of the day everything seemed to be allright, I brought the rpm up to 5000 and no beeps.
