I have a 1996 Merc 60hp ouotboard. I was having problems with the trim gauge last fall, so I replaced the sending unit. I tested it without the motor running and all seemed fine. However, when I start the motor, the gauge moves towards "trim up" and kinda wiggles and is not steady. When I turn the motor off and leave the ingnition on it seem to be fine. Could this indicate a bad gauge or is it something else.
