I have a 1999 stingray 190 RX with a mercruiser 3.0 135 HP. As i was walking behind the boat, I spun the propellor with my hand. I heard a clicking noise coming from it. I dont recall hearing it before.

What could it be?

Perfectly normal. Just for the fun of it: Put it in forward and try the same thing, should spin clockwise and lock CCW, reverse just the opposite. N will spin both ways, may click??

If your control was in Neutral your "nominal neutral" adjustment may be off a little. but it depends if your drive was raised or down with the prop shaft level.

Thanks for the help.....I lowered the drive, made sure it was trully in neutral, and the clicking stopped.
