This engine is clean, but looks can be blah blah... I would like to have some input on what I should check out. The engine has been sitting in a garage since 2002. I have already ordered the greases and i have a replacement fuel filter, i know i have to check the points and set to .20, i need to get a puller for the flywheel first but i am not sure what else to check.

Why do you need a puller for the flywheel?? You should have a belt driven dist or mag on the back of it. I think you need an OEM service manual for it.

There is a thread in the FAQs you should read entitled "Awakening a Sleeping Outboard"

Gear oil will need to be changed. Water pump needs to be changed. Carb should be cleaned and rebuilt. Read the article and let us know if you have any questions.
