Hey guys. I have a 71 MonArk 14ft tin boat that has a 5hp outboard. I noticed that I get a lot of splash over the front end at full throttle. I was wondering if there is proper position on splash guards. I am going to make them out of 1/8" angle aluminum. I should say that I have a trolling motor on the front that weighs it down a bit.

Yeah, it sounds to me like your weight distrubution needs to be adjusted and possibly adjust your 5 hp trim settings for planing the boat.

I thought so. Going to adjust the transom setting and see what happens.
