My primer bulb on gas line keeps going flat and will not let gas go through. This happens only at medium to high throttle. If i switch to a portable gas tank i have no problems, only when using the 36 gallon tank under floorboards. Please help. Thanks in advance for any suggestions, i REALLY appreciate it. P.S. Boats a 1997 lund pro-v, engine is a 1997 mariner 115. and i have switched lines and bulbs several times.

Re: Primer bulb problems on 1997 Lund Pro-V

since you have already switched bulbs (first suggestion) you probably have somethinjg caught on the pick up tube in the tank. Remove the access hatch on the floor; it is supposed to be located over the pick up tube and sending unit. Pull it and clean it.

Other possibility is clogged vent. When the bulb goes flat, open your fuel port and see what happens.

A fairly recent cause of a lot of blockages is the tinfoil seals they now put on bottles of oil, additives, etc.
