Hello,

Just purchased an older boat that has thru hull exhuast. The person that installed the thru hull didnt cut the y pipe down far enough but he did cap it. I'm trying to install new exhaust hoses from the riser to the thru hull and the old y pipe is right in the way. Can I cut this down some more and recap it? I wasn't sure if it had to be above the water line or not?

Thanks

I just realized what I should probably do it hook into the factory exhaust provided it's not corroded...then just plug the thru hull exhaust. The boat is at the upholstery shop or I'd be working on it right now...LOL
