Looking for some advice on this problem. Found a couple post similar to this problem. will give some tips a try but i would like to pick some moer brains first. this problem didnt start until i changed the water fuel seperator. this is a 04 merc 4.3 mpi 220hp in a tahoe q4. they gave me a longer filter than what came off is this a problem? installed primed pump ran with muffs. launched at lake took a couple of times to start. boat ran great for couple of hours with multiple starts. shut off to eat lunch about 30 minutes. it wont start. acts like it wants to start but then dies. spitts and sputters and pops. starts and idles for about 3 minutes then dies. same thing over but no starting at all. mechanic comes down after a couple of hours replaces relay starts right up runs good. go back to lake next weekend starts right up runs great all day same thing after shut off for about 30 minutes. checked the relays with meter all of them good including the replaced one he took out i kept it. now changed filter again to the same one came off same symtoms again. fire away guys any suggestions or help would be great.
