I have a '96 Merc 200 EFI on my 20' Charger Bass Boat. This boat and motor has no power steering. Just steering cables. I have struggled with "man-handling" this beast. Am I missing something ? The stearing is horrible. Even when the boat is on the trailer, turning the wheel takes 2 hands. I have owned boats without power stearing in the past, and have not had this problem.
I have greased all fittings, checked all cable connections, and still no luck. Any suggestions ?
