Anyone heard of Beachcomber boats (not the pontoon company)

Hi there, first time poster. I recently acquired a 1967 16' bowrider manufactured by Beachcomber. I have finished the gut job and almost ready to spray. Just looking for any information one might have on this manufacturer. I can't find any info online. I did stumble on the Beachcomber pontoon company that started in the late 1980's (and has since gone under.. I think), but I don't think that's the one I'm looking for. I'm also interested in any authentic decals or nameplates that might be out there...

Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the forum ctbeachcomber. I have not personally heard of the brand. Problem is there were literally hundreds of companies making fiberglass boats in the 50's and 60's and some only made a handful of boats. You might want to check out fiberglassics.com. A bowrider was kinda uncommon back then so I'd love to see a picture of yours.

Re: Anyone heard of Beachcomber boats (not the pontoon company)

Thank you for the reply. I did some more research and found out that the boat model is "beachcomber" and it was manufactured by MFG. So now I have been able to find some original pics online of the boat and will incorporate some of that into my layout. I hope to post some pics soon. Though I don't like the baby blue interior I'm seeing in a lot of the pics. I'm thinking interlux sapphire blue on the outside and white on the inside. Thank again.

Well now an MFG you should be able to find some info on. We've got a number of MFG owners here.
