1981 Mariner 40 hp. max rpm? Yamaha made.

Question is on the title. I have Yamaha build Mariner outboard engine, and i want to know top rpm, because i?m planning to buy a new propeller. Now i have 11,1"/14" Solas, i?m thinking 11,1"/16" propeller or similar.

Probably a good wide open throttle max RPM to shoot for would be 5500, planed out, normal weight for the boat. What's your present WOT RPM? If it's high or low, you can make appropriate adjustments in new prop diameter and pitch.
