What is the best material to use to replace the engine mount stringer??
Solid wood, plywood or composite? I need to fix my left side one that someone has fixed with piece of U shaped metal over the rotton one with 5 through bolts. I know that this side gets all the lifting torque as the motor rotates under power so I want make it good and strong.

Marine grade plywood is the best...but you can get by with a good exterior grade plywood. Plywood will hold fasteners better than composite materials...

Thanks Calwelder I wasn't going to fix it but thought that I might just as well do it while I have the floor torn off. Whats a little more glass work going to matter at this stage of the game anyways?
