how do u like the vinyl flooring, the carpet in my boat needs replaced, seen some rental boats with marine grade vinyl flooring, and it looked great, wanna know how long it last, if it gets hot, and if it gets slick

Needed to go cheap as possible, so after running all the numbers the $.39 ea stick on tiles at Lowes were the cheapest. (100sq ft=$39 for the whole boat!)
So far so go, only had it on 2 months or so but very easy to clean and not slippery at all. Even if tiles come off every now and then at .39 ea I just won't care.

I am in the process of restoring a 1980 Harris Flote boat, I never thought of using the sticky tiles as I was worried that water may seep between them. I have just replaced the carpet with marine vinyl and it was easy to do, no wrinkles. I am now waiting for the glue to dry so I can reassemble the boat. I have a 16 foot deck and taxes in I spent $250 for the flooring, It has rained and the floor is fine, no skid and easy to brush off. Wish it was done years ago!! I have a solid roof so the heat on the floor is not an issue, I was told that it will last the life of the boat, no rot, mildew as long as one applies it with the proper vinyl glue it should be fine.. Hope that helps
