1969 Evinrude 115hp Starflite

I have put in a new impeller, and outlet tubes but do not seem to be getting any water to the top end. Nothing coming out the ports, and the gear lube seems to get milky with just 10 minutes running in a barrel or with muffs on. Clueless? :confused:

Is the engine overheating? Are you getting good water flow out around the prop? If you are running it on the muffs, you woun't get any water out of the exhaust ports. The exhaust housing must be full of water for the water to come out of the exhaust ports, when running it on muffs the exhaust drains itself before it will fill up.
If you are getting water in the lower unit just running on muffs, you need to remove the lower unit and pressure/vacume test it to find where the water is getting in.

Doesn't seem to be overheating, can touch cylinders after 10 minutes and seem okay, seems to be good flow out prop. I have also run in a barrel without water to the top, is this normal?
