I am experiencing some problems with my 2006 Yamaha 50 HP 2 Stroke Outboard. I have been Lazy and not ran the boat as needed, I have however been starting it regularly with water muffs on. All seemed to be good until I was fixin to take it out, and it was spitting and sputtering, and you could tell it was backfiring, when it would do this it would make a squeal, or screetch noise that i am not sure what it is, or exactly where it is coming from. I have cleaned the Carbs, drained the old gas, and I am currently useing a new portable type tank to troubleshot my problems with as the tank in my boat seems to have problems as well, the pump bulb on the fuel line will get very hard and then get real soft like there may be some blockage there as well, that i believe i can handle, but the screetching has me concerned, Please assist if you can.
