Hello Everyone,
I have a dumb question that if I could charge/maintain batteries using battery recharger/maintainer on the boat without removing cables that are connected to the two batteries? My boat has 2 batteries connected to an Isolator. One is a Dual Purposes Deep Cell Marine and the other is Marine Deep Cell. Many thanks in advance! - Anthony.

Yes you can. Its done all the time with on-board chargers.

When the engine is running the batteries are being charged and all wiring is connected. The battery doesn't care where the juice comes from. It doesn't need to be disconnected.

Thank you Silvertip & bhile. It makes sense. I just hate to remove all connectors & bring back and forth heavy batteries just to recharge/maintain them. Thanks again.

Most bass boats are rigged up with on board chargers so you just plug into an extension cord when you park it overnight. The chargers normally charge at about 10 amps, then maintain charge over a long period, including over winter. Works good.
