1970 135hp lower unit

Will a 1970 135hp mercury lower unit fit my 1985 90hp mercury? I found a lower unit for cheap but it came of a 1970 135hp merc. just wondering if it will work. It looks the same in the pic. Thanks James

I would think it will work. Most of the 4/6 cylinder inline motors can swap gearcases.
