95 Johnson 48hp spl cutting out

I have a 95 Johnson 48hp spl. it will run for several hrs or all day then without warning it will shut off. It will not start the rest of the day. I come back the next day and it fires right up. It seems to do this randomly. Any suggestions what it could be?

When it dies have you checked spark?
make sure power pack ground is
clean and tight.
Check ignition connections, clean and tight.
It could be something in the ignition
breaking down when warmed up?
