1974 glasspar v1750

hi all im new to this site. i just bought a 1974 glasspar v1750 with a 140hp mercruiser motor and mercruiser outdrive.A couple questions first what kind of shift cable do i need to run from controller back as it did not have one with it second what kind of outdrive would this be? this is my first i/o motor. Thanks for any input THIS SITE IS AWESOME

Ayuh,... Welcome Aboard...

You probably have a MC-1 drive,... though an early model, if original...

I think iboats sells the cables, you'll need to know the length....

Thanks Bond-O wasnt sure what outdrive it is. It is the original outdrive The cable problem i have is the marine store by me said the cable ends are all different and they need the cable to check it wich i dont have so im trying to find out any and all info once again thanks
