Boat sat for 2 yrs before i got it chaecked the oil it was a milkshake my first thought was exsaust manifold so i took it off and where the carb mounts is all rusty inside also ports 2and3 and ports 6and7 of the exsaust are full of rust and same ports on engine are rusted pretty bad the exsaust ports are gray does this sound like a bad manifold it also overheated and checked spark plugs num 2 cyl had a few water drops on plug

Sounds like it could be anything at this point.IE: blown head gasket or cracked head or block. With the amount of rust that you have stated, I would be checking deeper in to it. Good luck.

you said it sat for years....i once had a boat that did the same....water was ALL in the oil and it was a milk shake if I had ever seen one! I talked to MANY places and ALL said I needed a new engine that the one I had was gone. So....I said screw it, changed the oil, and bingo...No more water in oil! Come to find out, the carb was RIGHT under the split in the seats!!! So water had simply drained into the dang thing when it rained! Two oil changes later(for good luck) and never had another issue with her. Ran like a champ!
