I bought a 24' pontoon boat[tubes/deck/rails]for a pontoon/cabin project.I'm redecking with new marine plywood and want to make the deck water tight,no water seepage where the sheets of ply wood butt together,I will be putting marine vinyl over the deck so maybe the glue will suffice as a sealant.

Maybe put a bead of RTV silicone on the 3/4 edge of one of the sheets before you butt them together, wipe away the excess and you should be good to go.

Yeah,thinking along those lines but wasn't sure if RTV would actually adhere well to wood.

After doing some research I think rubberized tape across each span will do the trick,the top will be glue and vinyl.
