Wondering if there could be a connection between my "green foamy milky drive oil in my Bravo lll" and the fact that our boat shop replaced the shifter and cables this winter in our 98 Bayliner Cierra 2355. We have never had a problem with disappearing gear oil or contaminated gear oil until now. There is no "oil slick" in the water behind the boat. The gear oil seems to be staying at about 1/2 way full in the reservoir but today I noticed that the oil was slightly foamy and a lime green colour. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated. I am not trying to knock our boat shop, they are awesome and we will continue to use them, just want to get a little up to speed before I talk to them about this. Thanks Dan.

there is 100% an issue with water intrusion in the drive--it is too expensive to guess- have it professionally checked out.

the only way to know for sure is to pressure test the drive - meaning you gotta pull it

also, inspect the gear lube monitor system for leaks, number one place is the hose between the gimbal housing and the bell housing
