HELP!!! I have a friend that supposedly knew how to repair my carbs. The key here is supposedly!!! I have to replace them now. It is for a 110 HP Evinrude. i thought it was a 1984 model bought used years ago. But in my research it looks like it is not that year. I need to know what carbs will fit. They have 1 5/16 on carbs. Motor has E110TLC on it with S#R 149825. I have found them but they are all listed for a 115. Thanks

Re: carburators

What makes them bad? What did he do to them to make them not usable? You can buy just the comp[onents from OMC...

He tried taking the jets or the tubes out and they are factory placed and sealed. I have gone to 2 different marine repair places and showed them the carburators and they both said they are ruined.

Re: carburators

There is more to that model number than E110TLC. What is the rest of it, especially the letter following the "C"?

Re: carburators

That is all i can read. It looks like something has hit the mount were the label is located and scrapped the rest off.

Re: carburators

Inspect the powerhead closely, looking for a quarter size core plug... looks like a small freeze out plug. Hopefully that plug has the model number on it also.

Many of the carburetors have a part number attached to a small aluminum tag that is attached to (usually) a float chamber retaining screw. Look for that also.

Re: carburators

For some reason, I cannot find that number anywhere.... and that number does ring a bell. All I can suggest is to examine that model number carefully and try to make out the letter following that "C".

The tubes you speak of....are those the 2 brass vertical tubes that extend up thru the top carburetor body.... fairly large ones in diameter with an off center smaller one inside it?

Re: carburators

Yes they are. He bent them and then removed them figuring he could replace them. Lucky me!!!

I have also looked for this number and cannot find it anywhere. I figured there is a replacement for it but cannot find out for sure.

Re: carburators

You are going to have to start checking parts breakdowns and compare. It may be the only difference in part numbers would be the jets.

Re: carburators

Ok here we go......... i have found plenty of carburators listed for the 1987 110 hp. they are all listed as 1 3/16. Mine is stamped 1 5/16 and everything i find states this is for a 140. I need a cross reference for the carburator to see what wil fit. Any ideas???
