I am installing a new high speed orifice in my carbs and my 50esl75 original service manual says "replace the high speed orifice and drain plug". This is all I can find about installing/adjusting the high speed orifice, whereas the low speed adjustment instructs say "turn the low speed needle counterclockwise 1 1/8 turns after seating.
Should I interpret this as meaning the high speed orifice is to be seated/turned all the way in, and with no adjustment? I have read on forums and other places , as I vaguely recall, some stated to adjust the high speed orifice counterclockwise 1 turn. This is the reason I am confused. But after all this is my original 50esl75 service manual that I quoted.
Anyone have experience with this and can advise? I plan to seat it without adjustment as of this moment.

Yes high speed has one adjustment. Turn in to snug. That is it ! Only low speed idle has adjustment!

you are absolutely correct monte61. In reading the service manual more in other sections it makes a offhand statement as to there being no adjustment to this high speed orifice. thanks for the input.
