Hello boaters,
I am in the process of inspecting the crankshaft journals for consideration of rebuilding my engine and am curious if someone has the tolerance for the rod journals? I understand a proper manual will be needed for such an endeavor but if the crank is toast I might move on to other options. I found enough slop in the bearings to warrant this investigation.
Thanks

I havn't taken pics yet but will work on it. There is no discoloring and very minor scoring on the journals. I tore into because of slop at the connecting rods and found the journals on the crank to mic at 1.875 and 1.870 and am really curious about their tolerances. The bores are nearly perfect and have less than .001 of wear and no out of round issues. I am hoping this engine will be a decent candidate for rebuild but I need to figure out the dimensions for connecting rod/crank journal first.
Thanks
