I have a 40 hp Mariner (built by yamaha). It only will run when fully choked. At full throttle it will fun fine for a second or two then just shut off. Its has new gas at a mixture of 50 : 1. The fuel filter is not clogged. I am getting spark on both plugs. Does anyone have any tips on what could be wrong? Any idea what the plug gap should be?
