help with age and model # of older 4hp merc

I scored a clean merc 4 hp, serial # 2690241 on the plate is the only number I can find. Its "old school" with the "swept back" looking engine cowling. Runs good but it wont flow water. I would like to learn model and age to purchase the impeller. Anybody know how I can find out age and model? THANKS !
