I have an Aluminum boat that will be used in both fresh and salt water, I would like to add a zinc to the hull. I originally was under the impression that zinc was zinc. So now im wondering what type I need? Aluminum? Zinc? Magnesium? Any ideas?
Well, then In my opinion you do NOT need Zinc protection for your boat. A thorough washing after use in salt water will be sufficient. The Salt will NOT have enought time to start any corrosive action. It only occurs when left in the water for extended periods of time.
