I have a 1975 MFG 17' with a 120hp mericruiser in/outboard. I recently broke my prop after being stuck on a sandbar. And when i took it off and scraped to find numbers I found 2 sets.
12 20 4 and
M94 2/3 1 SP The 2/3 is either 2 or 3 I can not tell.

Can anyone tell me my diamter and pitch from these numbers? I have asked many marine stores and everyone is clueless because of how old the engine is.

Numbers don't mean anything to me.12 is too small to be the diameter,20 seems a little big to be the pitch.
Did you check on the hub under the prop nut? You may be able to get it fixed.
A prop shop could measure it for you.

Corndog, Welcome to iBoats!

You didn't get stuck out on the mill pond, did you?

IF, and I do mean IF, the numbers are M94-21SP, it's a 15.25 X 21P, ref http://www.propcopropellers.com/mercruiser_Props.htm

As Steelespike mentions, that is rather steep considering the boat/HP combination. However, it does list the 120 as the lowest HP for this prop. Be real sure before ordering this prop as a replacement.

Good Luck!
