Ok, so here I am minding my own business with this motor I just got running and in short, the motor idles nice until put into gear then it would die instantly (compression is good, carbs are clean, so is the magneto) so to handle with the dying we turned the idle up slightly which made a little rougher of a jam into gear then what was normal (only slightly worse and not that bad). While on my way to the boat launch to load the motor got jammed in first gear and try as I might I couldnt get nuetral back. With the cable unhooked at the motor it remained jammed until I forced it with alot of muscle to release back into nuetral. The leg oil is clean, no filing in it at all. any ideas whats wrong? it was progressivly getting harder to shift into nuetral throughout the day. I plan on dropping the leg tomorrow but was curious what others had to say... once I get this fixed then comes the getting it running better...
