Mercruiser 5.7lt, alpha1 drive, 1989....trim down N/S

Hello all and pls I need a hand to fix my trim on my 5.7l mercruiser with alpha1.....
where to start, I test everything.
I can go up but not down at all..
Switch the cable on the solenoid and for sure the solenoide are good....
A electric motor should work in bot way not just one way??
Is the trim limit switch can have a issue with that??

pls let me know if you have any clue...

Update, bypass the limit switch and now it go up, before it was going up just with the trailer button but still dont want to go down but I can hear le solenoid click when I hit the down button.....

can I switch the hose that go to the pump so I can put it down.

uh, yeah but then it won't go up??

have you tried rapidly clicking the button to "unstick" the down solenoid??

perhaps you should re-read the attachment in post #2 to find the issue (its a good troubleshooting guide, with pictures and stuff)

I took the trim pack out and pull the motor apart, clean it all up, put it back together and work like a new one.
