ANY help would greatly be appreciated.
Put the pontoon in the water a week ago Sunday (the 15th), it started right up and drove it home across the lake (about 15 minutes) no problem.
Went to start it this past Saturday, and it wouldn't start.
I put in fresh gas, replaced the spark plugs and the fuel filter, still nothing. Acted like it wasn't getting fuel, so next I pulled the line on the fuel pump, turned it over and gas was squirting out, so I ruled out the fuel pump. (I could keep it running by manually feeding it fuel btw.)
So I assume it's the carb. Bought carb cleaner, sprayed everything I could see and let it sit for a good 15 minutes. Started it up and it purred like a kitten for a good 20 minutes. To be sure it was good to go, I shut it down, started it right back up and it ran good for about another 5 minutes and then just died. Couldn't get it started again.
I'm totally baffled.
Any suggestions? Before I call someone in, is their anything else I can try? I'll admit I don't know that much about motors, but I can follow directions if anyone has an idea for me to try. I would hate for it to be some simple thing I'm overlooking. Thanks.
