I have a 120hp Johnson it has two exhaust ports about 2 or 3 inches below the cowl. As the boat was docked yesterday and the motor was warming up I noticed it was pushing small amounts of water out of these two holes. It wasn't any large amounts of water at all, it was more like a mist being pushed out. Is this normal? I have always owned Mercury's and I have never noticed this on those motors......just curious if this is normal or if something is going wrong with my motor. Thanks for any help.

No that's a good sign ... means impeller is doing it's job. To make sure ,the l/u should be warm but not hot. Install a tell tale. You'll find a thread in the search about it. Took me 1/2hr to do it and now I just look back and see a good pee stream coming out from the cowl.

Mars....thanks, makes me feel better that it isnt' something wrong with it. It does have a tell tale, and pushes a good stream evenly from it. Thanks for the heads up.
