As many of my posts have started, so does this one,
I am new to the boating world.
I have fortunately found this great resource! (thank you all)
My question is this:
I am doing (first time for me) maintenance.
I am changing the water pump impeller in the outdrive. There seems to be a lot of play in the driveshaft after I removed pump assembly. I can move it up and down 1/8 inch or so and it wallows around if I grab the spline end and move it.
Is this normal?
There seems to also be some "noise" or rough feel when I spin the shaft.
Cause for concern or normal lower unit stuff? I have no idea
