Nissan NS90A. Pulling Lower.

The drawings on line are not too clear. Is that a drive pin that holds the upper and lower shift shaft together. Do i just knock it out or is there something else I should know.

The diagrams and photos in the Factory service manual are very good. Yes, there is a brass coupler with two 3.5 mm stainless roll pins.
