No crank, all acessories work. no alarm either

Just put my battery in for the season. hooked up a cable backwards.

everything works, trim, horn,blower, bilage.

all work, execpt the engine will not crank or warning alarm doesnt sound when the ignition on position. tells me that theres no power to the switch. but cannot locate the fues or anything.
help please

Check the square fuse mounted on the starter terminal, and check the circuit breaker and fuses on the engine.
Sometimes fuses can be hard to find under the dash, but there is usually a 20A fuse under the dash.

ok, ill look again.

any idea what this automitive relay looking thing is for? sits on top of the motor by the distributor. I unplugged it and still have everything working except, alarm and starter.

Found it! i guess the fuse on the starter that poped. Kinda a bad spot for a fues though.

Thank god for the starter system diagram sticky.

May be a bad spot to get to, it's also the best place to protect everything for those people that put battery cables on backwards. :p :p
