I have a 1969 (I believe Serial #2621429) that stalls out. Had it running last year and tuned up. This year I can get the motor started and keep it running only when it is revved up. Whenever I try to switch it into gear it dies. I have changed the spark plugs, cleaned the carburetor, and checked the fuel lines. Even when idling it seems to cycle between revving and dying down. I do not know small engines well and have no idea what to do next.
The one thing I am not sure on is the fuel splitter (photos attached). This appears to split the fuel between the carburetor and the pistons. I am not sure how the splitter works but there is a plastic seal between the chambers attached. Is this how its supposed to be.
If anyone has advice I would appreciate it.
