Okay as I mowed the grass I had noticed this the other day and it was empty but no more...... a nest built by a pair of Robin's right onto of the rear wheel!

one built a nest on top of a pillar at the front of my house, under the eve. I guess I'll leave it there until the eggs hatch, but she divebombs anyone that comes to the front door. I like that bird.

Cool!! Birds are so much smarter than people when they decide where to locate their homes. I had a pair of phoebes build a nest on top of the vacant wren house on my porch.

Hope you don't need that truck for a while, Bob. :)

We had a mockingbird build a nest in a cardboard box on top of the lockers at the fire station where I was assigned. After the babies hatched and finally flew off, one of my men said "Enough of this nonsense...I'll take care of this". I was amazed at his lack of appreciation of the birds.

The next shift I walked out to find the box gone...and a handmade bird house attached to the wall 2 feet from the spot. Faith restored.

So how did you get the robins to build the nest there?

Yeah, give it up Bob, we want to know...LOL... All I got was a pair of scrub jay's in my cherry tree and about a hundred danged turkeys poopin all around the pool. Even had one lay an egg at pools edge. Stupid turkey's.. What's worse, I turned on the tube and here was some bozo all dressed up in camo trying to call the dang things. I wish I had his number, I'd show him a few videos I have of me kicking them over the fence. LOL...

Oh well, maybe I'll just take this to the lake tomorrow..

What type feed and how did you get it to stay on top the wheel? I'm so using this idea, if I can figure out a way to lure some Robins to the lawnmower, then I've got it made!

Yeah that plan works, so long as that truck isn't the tow vehicle too. :D

Re: Proof that I have not moved my truck lately

Thanks Bob, picked it up Friday. Just goes to show you that if resto enough boats and motors and find the right buyers for those you can eventually end up with the boat you really want. This is such a perfect boat for me. The bank let me use a 22' North River for a while but it was a pain in rear to launch and load by myself. I always had to find someone to go with me and ended up footing the bill most of the time. At 16' even with a little 60hp 4 stroke, this one is paid for and I'm set.

You're lucky it was on your tire. A few years ago my truck caught on fire, causing $9,000 worth of damage!!! The cause.......birds built a nest on my intake manifold!
