Im looking for detailed instructions on how to pressure check my block..I tore the top of the motor off and couldnt find any cracks above the lifters where they would normally show. The oil is getting water while running which suggest cracked block but I hate to buy a new motor until i am completely certain. Thanks for any help.

Thanks for the reply. The motor is all put back together now though. I was just wondering the easiest way to block everything that needs blocked off. And what exactly needs blocked off.

Look in the appropriate maintenance manual (Mercruiser), for a diagram of the cooling system of the engine. Block anything that's open.

Correct me if im wrong guys...if i take the risers off i should only have to block off the manifolds where the riser bolts to it? Also wheres the best way to put pressure in the block?

Ayuh,... At the T-stat housing where the line from the transom attaches...

I'd plug the hoses goin' to the manifolds, 'n test 'em separately...
