Please help me determine the make of this boat I recently bought. The previous
owner used it on a private lake so never registered it and there is no nameplate.
(owner before that had it registered) It has a plate under the back left handle
that has a capacity and hp rating (900lb/40hp) and a serial number and the
inscription 'Model 15' but no make. The engine it came with is from 1970 but that doesn't necessarily match the boat.

Note drain hole in bottom by trolling motor fin rather than in the back.

Any ideas?
Thanks

I'm leaning toward Mirrocraft but need to see pictures of whole boat, inside and out.

The serial number could help identify. What is it?

It's a Richline and it looks to be in great shape. I have one and your's has the same seats, transom brackets and drain. Mine is registered as a 62 although I've seen pics of 70's that look very similar. I don't think they changed much.

The serial number is only a 6 digit number so it must be pre 1972.

Re: Aluminum boat 14ft in need of identification

Thank you! Based on other Richline images I found online I'll go with that. Do you know where I can find the year based on serial number? (My state doesn't require it for registration though.)

The trailer is in great condition except for a bit of rust on the winch mast. Had to wash out some barn swallow poop and will need to scrape and repaint (or replace) the seat wood but it wasnt a bad deal at $550. It came with a fish finder, trolling motor, and non working Merc 20hp from 1970. If I can't get the merc working I have my 5hp sea king.
